Tomorrow’s Jobs PAC endorses Michelle Maldonado for Congress (VA-10)

Michelle for US Congress

Feb 22, 2024

Tomorrow’s Jobs, a new national group supporting Democrats with small business and entrepreneurial backgrounds, today announced the endorsement of Michelle Maldonado’s congressional bid in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.

Brett Broesder, the organization’s founding executive director, stated that Maldonado’s background as founder and CEO of Lucenscia, a business helping companies overcome traumatic events, makes her an excellent example of someone who can excel as a candidate and policymaker.

“Entrepreneurs and small business owners are the lifeblood of our nation’s economy,” said Broesder. “They’re a driving force behind job creation, innovation, and strong communities. That’s why Tomorrow’s Jobs proudly supports Michelle Maldonado and plans to actively ensure she has the support and resources necessary to win.”

Michelle Maldonado said she’s thrilled to have Tomorrow’s Jobs PAC’s support.

“I’m honored to be endorsed by Tomorrow’s Jobs. Our livelihoods and well-being are intertwined with not only our jobs, but with the opportunities we have. I want our families and young folks to have the freedom to choose any occupation, and it starts at creating a better system of resources for the entrepreneurs and small business owners who are the backbone of our vibrant and diverse economy. My work is just getting started, and I’m excited to have like-minded people like Tomorrow’s Jobs working alongside me.” said Maldonado.

Democrat Senator Jennifer Wexton’s announced retirement leaves an open seat in Virginia's 10th Congressional District. The district became a democratic seat after Wexton flipped the district from red to blue in 2018, and Cook’s Political Report has rated the race as one of the most competitive in the country for 2024. The district consists of the DC suburbs of Loudoun, Fauquier, Rappahannock Counties, parts of Prince William and Fairfax counties, and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.

Tomorrow’s Jobs officially launched in late December 2023, and has made eight other endorsements in the upcoming elections, including:

  • Incumbent House Democrat: Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03)

  • U.S. House Candidates: Rebecca Cooke (WI-03), Nancy Goroff (NY-01), Jeremy Gray (AL-02), Luz Rivas (CA-29), Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Missy Cotter Smasal (VA-02), and Derek Tran (CA-45)

The Tomorrow’s Jobs PAC effort includes recruiting, training, and supporting Democrats who have experience creating jobs in communities, including small business owners, entrepreneurs, and non-profit executives.
