Mar 11, 2024

Chair of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus State Senator Lamont Bagby (D-Richmond) today endorsed Delegate Michelle Maldonado for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. Maldonado is one of many Democratic candidates in the VA‐10 race that encompasses Loudoun County, parts of Prince William County, the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, Fauquier County, Rappahannock County, and parts of Fairfax County.

“Michelle’s commitment to her community and Virginia are undeniable. She was a leader long before her time in the General Assembly and has admirably represented both House District 50 and her new House District 20. I know Michelle will be a force in Congress as she brings her considerable breadth and depth of state, national, and international experience to protect this seat in Congress and keep Virginia moving forward. I’m proud to endorse Michelle and I am excited to see her continue to protect reproductive freedom, voting rights, workers’ rights, and our children as well as leverage her knowledge in AI and related technologies,” said Sen. Bagby.

“I’m immensely proud to have Sen. Bagby’s endorsement for VA‐10. We’ve worked together in the General Assembly and the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus to represent the interest of our communities and ensure that we truly have a representative democracy,” said Maldonado.
